7. Review Process

We endeavour to acknowledge and review legitimate grievances within a reasonable period.

The time required to resolve a grievance may depend upon:

  • The nature and complexity of the complaint;
  • Availability of supporting information;
  • Need for verification;
  • Response from third parties; and
  • Applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

We may request additional information where necessary.

8. False, Malicious, or Abusive Complaints

The grievance mechanism is intended for genuine concerns.

We reserve the right not to act upon complaints that are clearly abusive, threatening, repetitive without new information, knowingly false, fraudulent, or submitted for harassment or improper purposes.

9. External Remedies

Nothing in this policy prevents a person from exercising any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

For complaints relating to newspaper or news-agency publications, the Press Council of India maintains its own complaint mechanisms under the applicable statutory framework. Its published procedure also indicates that complainants should ordinarily first bring the matter to the concerned newspaper/news agency/editor before approaching the Council.

10. Policy Updates

Duradarshi may update this Grievance Redressal Policy when necessary to reflect changes in its processes, website operations, or applicable requirements.
